Our Story

S J & J Solutions, LLC has been in service for over 16 years, and we are currently serving San Antonio and the Austin area.

Our Story Begins...

Our story begins in 2004 when my son and I were out of work. I overheard a business man say that “young people should window clean to earn some immediate cash income”. With that thought, we both decided that we could use some “part time” cash income. We called up Austin area window cleaning companies offering to work for free to learn the industry. We came back to San Antonio, bought a bucket, dawn dish detergent, squeegees and poles packed them in the trunk of our car and drove to strip centers and we started knocking on business doors to wash their windows, charging some only $5.

We worked hard and built our business up to over 200 commercial and residential customers. The 2008 economic crash impacted our business tremendously. I left the company to pursue Funeral Directing while my son, Salim Rashad held on to the few clients during that turbulent time.

Fast forward to him grinding and eventually the economy shifting, the clientele began to grow again, many of the clients asked for pressure Washing / power washing services. He would refer that business out until one day he said let me learn!!!

In 2015 he added power/pressure washing to the window cleaning business. The business grew and doubled the next year. He gave me a call and said I needed to come back to the company to help. 2015 was the year it showed us the real potential that our business had to be of service. I was tasked with office duties, networking and sales. I sought out local city, public and private company contracts, while Salim developed operations.

He has implemented equipment that recycles and reclaims the water making us a green company. S J & J Solutions, LLC is registered with The Director of Conservation (via SAWS) our local water company.

We participate and join local programs that are offered to help small businesses to grow. We graduated from the COSA (City of San Antonio) Small Business Boot Camp (mentorship program) in conjunction with Alamo Colleges. We are graduates of the 2018 Frost Bank Business Building Series. S J & J Solutions, LLC is certified via the SCTRCA agency as a woman owned minority business. We are a client of SBDC/ South West at The University of Texas at SA Institute for Economic Development.

We are also clients of PTAC Houston at University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network Houston, Texas. We are members of the USBC (United States Black Chamber). We are currently working with ThinkZilla Consulting Group, helping us to rebrand and stay relevant during this exciting yet very impactful, ever changing economic climate.
